“The Tangletown Equity Committee signed on to be a partner for a City of Minneapolis Partnership Engagement Fund grant supporting The Homework Club, a supportive study space and leadership development program for MPS high school students. Homework Club was co-created by Heather Anderson, Executive Director of Advancing Equity Coalition, and Washburn High School students of color a few years ago. In early December 2025, Equity Committee members had the opportunity to engage with Heather and the remarkable students, staff, and volunteers of The Homework Club. This short film shares their story and offers a comprehensive, absorbing view of the club’s development and activities, and I highly recommend it.”
