This year’s Tangletown Summer Party & Movie in the Park will take place on July 26 in partnership with Fuller Park. There will be fun for everyone, including live music, food , kids’ activities, swimming, and Moana 2 on the big screen at sunset in the Fuller Park field. New this year, a Board Game & Puzzle Swap and an all-ages Free Throw Contest!
This is our biggest community building event of the year! The event is open to all and many of the activities are free. We sell wristbands ($8 each) and tickets ($2 each) to help support the Tangletown Neighborhood Association’s work and community events. Wristbands and tickets can be purchased with cash, Venmo, or PayPal at the event. Activities and food requiring wristbands and tickets are noted below.
ACTIVITIES
- Inflatables: Bouncy castle and an inflatable obstacle course ($8 wristband)
- Face painting (included with $8 wristband, or 1 ticket if purchased separately) by North Star Art Club
- Board game & puzzle swap (see details below)
- Free Throw Contest on the basketball court at 7 PM (free, gift card prizes for the winners!)
- Free inflatable archery with Troop 187
- MPRB will be sharing initial concepts of upcoming Fuller Park improvements
- Participate in a Tangletown Neighborhood Association funding vote
- Plus, the Fuller Park wading pool will be open with beach balls for kids to bop around!

- Food trucks: 6 PM until about 8:30 PM (food trucks manage their own cash/credit card sales)

- Sebastian Joe’s ice cream (2 tickets, 6:30-8:00 PM)

LIVE MUSIC
Dive Bar Orchestra will perform again at this year’s summer party from 6-8 PM. Feel free to bring chairs,a blanket, or simply grabbed a spot in the grass. There is always room for dancing, too.

The band will be playing original songs as well as their favorite covers.
BOARD GAME & PUZZLE SWAP
This year, we’re hosting a board game & puzzle “swap” at the Summer Party! Drop off items (gently used, no missing pieces) at the swap table at Fuller Park between 5:00-6:15 PM on July 26. Volunteers will set donated items out and attendees can “shop” for a new-to-them game or puzzle. There is no requirement to donate an item in order to take an item, and vice versa.
MOVIE
Bring blankets and chairs and enjoy a free outdoor movie at sunset! Fuller Park will be playing Moana 2 on the big, inflatable movie screen starting at sunset (around 8:45 PM).
