September 2026 trail closure letter
The City of Minneapolis has begun rehabilitation of the historic Nicollet Ave bridge over Minnehaha Creek. The project is expected to last through 2027.
Anticipated bridge construction timeline:
- Site preparation begins: February 23, 2026
- Bridge closure and construction start: March 2, 2026 (detour map)
- Completion: End of 2027
