_______
Notice to all Tangletown Neighborhood Association members, which includes all residents, property owners, and business owners:
The Tangletown Neighborhood Association currently has $92,038.36 in Phase II uncontracted Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) funds.
In 2018, the Tangletown Neighborhood Association (TNA) board voted to loan up to $90,000 of its NRP funds to the City of Lakes Community Land Trust, to support access to affordable housing in Minneapolis.
The loaned funds have been returned with $2,038.36 in interest. At TNA’s March 17, 2025, public board meeting, Tangletown board member and Treasurer, Pat Prochaska, suggested moving these funds to the Phase II Plan Implementation strategy in TNA’s NRP contract called Program Implementation. Program Implementation funds are used to pay for staff time to support TNA board objectives. Currently, TNA has one half-time contracted Executive Director who supports the board and all of its committees. These funds are intended to be used over several years to continue to pay for part-time staff to support the Tangletown Neighborhood Association board’s work and its requirements as a non-profit organization.
Because the amount is more than $25,000, TNA must give 21-day notice to let the public have input. Pat moved to have the public vote to assign $92,038.36 to Program Implementation in TNA’s NRP contract 42698 at the May 19, 2025, Annual Meeting; Heather Grovum seconded; and the motion passed unanimously.
