Our 2025 food drive for Joyce Uptown Foodshelf will take place on April 27
On Sunday, April 27th, participating residents can place donations on their front steps before 10:00 AM, and a volunteer will pick up the items for donation and deliver them to Joyce Uptown Foodshelf. To participate, residents must sign up for donation pick up. We invite our neighbors in nearby neighborhoods within 2-miles of Tangletown to participate!

Registration is required so we can send a volunteer to your home for pick up. We can accommodate donation pick-ups within reason if you live in a nearby neighborhood. The registration deadline is 10:00 PM on April 24.
Joyce accepts any non-expired shelf-stable food items. Variety is appreciated and popular items include:
- Peanut butter
- Canned fruit
- Whole grain cereal/oatmeal
- Cooking oil
- Toothbrushes/toothpaste
Sturdy paper grocery bags with handles and empty egg cartons are also needed. Please, no expired food or open items.
We are grateful that our friends in the Lynnhurst, Fulton, South Uptown, and East Harriet neighborhoods are joining in to increase our reach and impact. Thank you, neighbors!

Tangletown neighbors have donated over 3,500 pounds of food as part of our annual food drive for Joyce Uptown Foodshelf. 2025 will be our sixth year, and we hope to collect even more food and essentials for those who need the support of a local food shelf.
Volunteer drivers are needed on April 27!
Can you help pick up donations and deliver them to Joyce Uptown Foodshelf (3041 Fremont Ave. S.) on Sunday, April 27, from 10 AM to noon? Volunteers will need their own vehicle and will be given a list of residential addresses for donation pick up on April 27 starting at 10 AM. They will deliver picked-up donations to Joyce by noon. Email info@tangletown.org if interested in helping out.
