Last year, Tangletown neighbors donated 2,369 pounds of food as part of our food drive for Joyce Uptown Foodshelf. This year, we hope to top that number and collect even more food and essentials for those in need.
Please join the Tangletown Neighborhood Association in participating in our Food Drive. On May 2, we’re asking residents to place items for donation on their front steps before 10am. We will organize volunteers who will come pick up your items for donation.
Please sign up here so we make sure to send a volunteer your way. Please register by April 29 to assure a volunteer can be sent to pick up your items. If you are interested in volunteering to help pick up donations, thank you! You can sign up to volunteer here.
The greatest needs are for the following items:
- Cereal (hot or cold)
- Canned meat (tuna, chicken)
- Pasta (can be any kind of pasta or macaroni and cheese)
- Toilet paper
- Diapers and wipes
- Laundry and dish soap
- Gluten Free products
- Non-dairy (shelf stable) milk
Please no expired food.
If you prefer, you may make a financial contribution on the Joyce Uptown Foodshelf website: joyceuptownfoodshelf.org where you can also find a link to volunteer at the food shelf.
