Wondering what to do with your old cell phones, tablets, or outdated computers? Clear the clutter and keep electronic waste (e-waste) out of incinerators and landfills by bringing them to the E-Waste Collection Event on October 18, hosted by the Lyndale, Kingfield, and Tangletown neighborhood associations.

We’re partnering with Repowered (getrepowered.org) — with support from the City of Minneapolis — to make it easy for neighbors to safely recycle unwanted data-bearing electronics such as cell phones and laptops. Repowered will securely shred or wipe data from all collected devices, ensuring your information stays protected.

In addition, we will have resource tables featuring the following organizations and resources on repair and hard-to-recycle items such as batteries:

This event only accepts the items listed above to ensure data security. All other e-waste will be turned away, as it can be recycled or disposed of for free or low- cost through the City of Minneapolis or Hennepin County. Information will be provided on how to safely recycle or dispose of items not accepted.
